In this 2-hour interactive event you'll create a 3-5 minute impact story that you can use to inspire others. Bethany, a mother of two, comedian, and host of "The Moth," is a fierce advocate for inclusion and special education. Active participation is required. 

Virtual: December 14th 6:00 - 7:00pm

Want to share your story with legislators and advocate for change?  Join us to learn more about submitting written testimony for bills. We will walk you through key strategies, tips, and provide examples and templates to use. Help to improve laws and policies that affect families!

Additional discussion will be focused on The Arc's current priority bills: Cueing & Supervision for PCA & Supported Decision Making.

We are excited to have you join the Family Leadership Alumni Association! As an alumni of the Family Leadership Series, you have gained invaluable skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in your community. By joining the Alumni Association, you will have the opportunity to connect with other alumni who share your passion for leadership and advocacy.

Our first virtual meeting will be a great opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni and discuss the ideas that emerged from the "Leaders that Brunch" event. We would love to hear your thoughts on how we can empower families and create a strong community. Let's use our collective skills and experiences to make a difference!

The Massachusetts Family Leadership Community Projects pilot has been a great success and we're excited to share our stories with you! Massachusetts Family Leadership Program partnered with Starfire to launch a year-long mentorship and financial support initiative. Our goal was to help families create Community Projects that showcase their talents and engage with the community, fostering social connections and inclusivity. By working with one person and their family at a time, Starfire was able to help them uncover their passions and strengths, and build meaningful relationships within their community.

Attention Family Leadership Series alumni who are interested in giving back! The Family Leadership Program is hosting a brunch for those interested in joining the alumni committee, FLS mentoring, community outreach, or general volunteering. This event promises amazing people, delicious food, laughter, and creative thinking. It is an excellent opportunity to share your talents and reconnect with other alumni.
